Today, Dom Giordano led off the Dom Show by discussing the newest mandate in a wave of Governor Wolf Coronavirus lockdowns. At 12:01AM on Saturday, new restrictions and regulations went into effect, including a ban on indoor restaurant dining and limits on indoor entertainment. The ban will last the entire holiday season, until 8AM on January 4th. Giordano discusses how detrimental this new set of restrictions are on small businesses. Also, Giordano discusses the banning of high school sports, particularly in relation to the allowance of professional sports to continue. Then, Giordano discusses the in-court battles of the Trump team, discussing the Texas lawsuit that calls Pennsylvania’s mail-in balloting into question.
CHOP's Dr. Paul Offit On Distribution Of Vaccine
Dr. Paul Offit, Director of the Vaccine Education Center and attending physician in the Division of Infectious Diseases at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, rejoins the Dom Giordano Program to update the audience on the status of the vaccine, which is now being shipped all over the country. Offit draws comparisons of the rolling out of the newest vaccines to that of the Polio vaccine, with a breath of excitement reaching everybody due to a light finally appearing at the end of the tunnel. Offit discusses how the vaccine will be released to the public, and predicts whether or not there will be reluctance in getting the vaccine.
ChesCo Chamber President Guy Ciarrocchi On Business Closures
Guy Ciarrocchi, President and CEO of the Chester County Chamber of Business and Industry, returns to the Dom Giordano Program to update the audience as to how businesses are performing under the overreaching edicts set by Governor Wolf in Coronavirus lockdowns. Ciarrocchi explains that both he and many of the businesses in the county were completely blindsided by the newest regulations set forth, which adds a litany of new restrictions for small businesses to follow. Ciarrocchi tells that local businesses were prepared, but nobody could be prepared for what came from Harrisburg.
