Wildwood Mayor Pete Byron On Marijuana Legalization
Wildwood Mayor and friend to the show Pete Byron returns to discuss how things have been going in the shore town during the pandemic. Byron, who made Giordano an Honorary Lifeguard in Wildwood over the summer, tells that the city has surprisingly been busier this year in the shoulder season than it has been in the past, which Giordano attributes to second home owners who have been granted permission to work from home. Then, Dom gets an update from the Mayor on the dunes that made news up in North Wildwood, which have been built so high due to erosion that many local residents have complained. Also Mayor Byron makes a plea for his local businesses, which have suffered horribly due to closures from the pandemic, and explains why he is personally against legal marijuana in his city.
Clarice Schillinger Recaps Sunday MontCo Car Rally
Clarice Schillinger, who joined the Dom Giordano Program on Friday, returns to the show to tell how a weekend car rally went, which she and other Montgomery County parents organized to protest the closures of schools in their county. The event, which took place on Sunday, began at the Horsham Athletic Club and proceeded throughout the county, with a line of over 80 vehicles. Schillinger explains why she decided to put together such an event, and tells listeners how they can get involved moving forward.
