Women's Sports Need To Be Protected! Riley Gaines Joins Live
Today, Dom led off the Dom Giordano Program by continuing the conversation centered on the horrific Tennessee school shooting by a transgendered individual. Dom provides further information on what’s been uncovered since the tragedy, and plays back a clip from South Dakota Senator Mike Rounds, who suggested that Congress will continue to not pursue so-called ‘Red Flag Laws.’ Then, Dom tells about the resignation of Temple University President Jason Wingard, explaining why he doesn’t believe he was the cause for the spike in violence, noting the importance of the next President to call out the leadership in Philadelphia.
Then, Dom welcomes former University of Kentucky swimmer Riley Gaines, now working with the Independent Women’s Forum, to hear about her time spent this week at the University of Pittsburgh, where she was met with protests and violence for speaking on campus. Riley has been in the news a lot recently, speaking out heavily against UPenn swimmer Lia Thomas, a transgendered individual, pointing out the unfairness of allowing biological males to compete against females. Gaines first reflects on her speaking engagement, telling that a heckler called her a ‘pervert’ for looking at Lia’s genitalia, pointing out the idiotic nature in thinking that would be perverse, even if untrue, while thinking it’s okay for women to be forced to see a biological male’s genitalia. Then, Dom and Gaines delve into her background, with the swimmer telling, in depth, her training background and the dedication it takes to be a female athlete, only to have chances of success ripped away by unfair advantages in allowing trans individuals in women’s sports. Also, Riley offers her thoughts on the horrific school shooting involving a transgendered individual in a Nashville school, and tells where listeners can find more of her work as she continues her push back against this radical ideology.
The Alleged Health Benefits of Swimming Naked
In today’s second hour, Dom continues the Dom Giordano Program with conversation on women’s sports after the interview with Riley Gaines at the end of the last hour, telling why he’s so vehemently against this infringement on Title IX, noting the importance that sport has on development of both males and females. Then, Dom tells that there have been developments in PA’s political scene, with multiple news sources revealing that Dave McCormick is going to throw his hat into the ring for a Senate seat. Also, Dom explains that he has some questions about a recent local story involving false allegations levied toward a police officer after some elected officials claimed he used a racial slur during a traffic stop, asking why these officials did not first ask to see the body cam footage themselves, instead basing their opinions off a viral video. In addition, Dom tells about a proposed regulation on window air conditioner units by Democrats, and Dan offers up his Dan Time with Dom, suggesting that listeners tune back into AppleTV’s Ted Lasso.
Allan Domb on Water Crisis, Retail Theft, and Updates on Campaign
In today’s third hour, Allan Domb, candidate for Mayor of Philadelphia, stops into studio for an update on his campaign. Dom begins the interview by asking Domb about the busy schedule of a Mayoral candidate, with Dom and Domb discussing the highly packed forums, which don’t allow candidates to differentiate themselves from one another. Then, Dom gives Domb a chance to differentiate himself from the other candidates, which leads both to discuss a multitude of topics, including public safety, the spike of crime particularly in the Northeast, retail theft, and the handling of the recent water crisis by the current administration.
Then, Dom introduces his Money Melody and continues on with the show, explaining why a debate is absolutely necessary for the Democratic Mayoral Primary. Then, we get our winner of the Money Melody, which kicks off an admission by Dom that one of his guilty pleasures is rapper Eminem. Also, Dom reveals that Philadelphia will no longer offer a day off from their schools on Veteran’s Day, and Dom plays the Lightning Round, asking listeners to dial in with celebrities who use a great stage name.
