After Reaching This Grim Milestone, What Have We Learned?
Today, Dom Giordano led off the Dom Giordano Program by first quickly making note of the passing of recreational marijuana legalization in New Jersey. Then, Giordano moves into a conversation of yesterday’s grim Coronavirus milestone, as the nation has now passed 500,000 deaths due to the pandemic. Giordano uses the moment to look back on the entirety of the virus, telling what he’s learned from the horrifying experiences and changes that came with the virus. Then, Giordano discusses Dr. Anthony Fauci’s role in the virus and comments made yesterday on the show by Dr. Martin Makary, who noted that so much power in national decision-making shouldn’t be in the hands of one person, at least from a public optics standpoint. Then, Giordano and Producer Dan further discuss the topic of marijuana legalization, with Dan answering some of Dom’s questions.
Matt Rooney Tells Us What 'The Boss' May Face
Matt Rooney, New Jersey attorney and editor of SaveJersey.com, returns to the Dom Giordano Program to discuss the ongoing story featuring Bruce Springsteen, a motorcycle, and a bottle of tequila. Last week, it came out that late last year, ‘The Boss’ was pulled over on his motorcycle and refused a breathalyzer, eventually leading to a DWI charge.
Tomorrow, Springsteen has his first day in court to address the charge. Rooney, an experience lawyer working with DWI and DUI cases in the state of New Jersey, first tells us what Bruce should expect on his first day, and tells what’s to come in the trial. Then, Giordano and Rooney discuss Governor Murphy’s decision to fully legalize recreational marijuana yesterday, with both pontificating why Murphy wanted to do this, and why he waited so long after promising the change in his first 100 days.
Catholic League President Bill Donohue On Biden's Selective Human Rights Campaign
Bill Donohue, President of the Catholic League, rejoins the Dom Giordano Program to discuss Biden’s first month and a half in office, as the President unveils multiple policies dedicated to human rights, but not in a broad manner. Donohue notes that the President continues to limit his discussion of human rights to the rights of LGBT+ persons, even at the expense of victims such as female athletes reaping the benefits of Title IX. In a statement, Donohue writes, “in contrast to Biden’s obsession with the rights of sexual minorities is his total disinterest in the rights of Christians. We researched his directives and executive orders on the human rights of Christians, especially abroad. We couldn’t find any.” Donohue continued, “why are the rights of LGBT people given preferential treatment over Christians and other people of faith? Catholics, evangelicals, Mormons, Muslims and observant Jews would love to know.”
