Do Teachers Want Kids Back In School?
Today, Dom Giordano led off the show by discussing the push by some teachers to get in-person schooling back widespread throughout the state of Pennsylvania and beyond. Dom argues that the belief that virtual learning is the appropriate path is more widespread within the profession than others like to believe, which is why the teachers unions are standing so strongly behind e-learning rather than in-person schooling. Then, Giordano discusses yesterday’s hearing over whether or not the Senate will proceed with an impeachment of former President Donald Trump, highlighting Rand Paul’s remarks in which he noted the unconstitutionality of proceeding with such an act. Also, Giordano discusses the Baseball Writer’s decision to not induct anybody into the Hall of Fame this year, including outspoken conservative Curt Schilling, and condemns a San Francisco school board decision to remove a number of historical people from schools, including names such as Paul Revere.
Clarice Schillinger Wants To Keep Kids In School
Clarice Schillinger, Chairwoman of the Keeping Kids in School PAC, returns to the Dom Giordano Program to discuss why her organization has turned their attention toward the Pennsylvania State Education Association. First, Schillinger reveals that she’s been having conversations with “whistleblower teachers,” who are reaching out via email to her to discuss the overbearing nature of the union in preventing fruitful conversation from happening regarding getting teachers back into school. Schillinger reveals the content of some of these anonymous emails, even further reading an email sent to all teachers in the PSEA union from President Rich Askey.
Guy Ciarrocchi, President of ChesCo's Chamber, On Vaccine Distribution Debacle
Guy Ciarrocchi, President and CEO of the Chester County Chamber of Business and Industry, returns to the Dom Giordano Program to discuss the strain that local businesses in Chester County have faced due to restrictions set forth by the state government during the Coronavirus pandemic. Ciarrocchi discusses Pennsylvania’s low ranking in getting the vaccine to the people as noted by the CDC and the Becker Report, using this as evidence against Governor Wolf’s vaccine distribution and noting how much of the suffering is completely unnecessary and unwarranted.
