Kenney Wants You To ‘Wear Your Damn Mask’

Today, Dom led off the Dom Giordano Program by recapping today’s press conference held by Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney which offered a new tiered system to dig the city out of the Coronavirus pandemic. First, Giordano plays back some clips from the press conference, including a sound bite in which Jim Kenney tried arguing that had he listened to restauranteurs, at least 2,000 more people would have died. Then, Dom notices that throughout the press conference, Kenney stresses the importance of ‘following the rules’ concerning Coronavirus, which sets him off, asking why Kenney won’t follow his own words of advice when dealing with crime as we continue to see record-setting numbers. Then, Giordano takes umbrage with a suggestion by gubernatorial candidate Bill McSwain concerning Larry Krasner, telling why he believes the strategy employed by McSwain, which would restructure how the District Attorney is instated, won’t hold as much weight as a potential impeachment.

What Is Kratom?

In today’s second hour, Dom welcomes back Yeadon Police Chief Anthony ‘Chachi’ Paparo for another update on an unfolding situation in the suburban borough of Philadelphia, after Paparo learned from a lower ranking officer that his job was in jeopardy for his skin color. After a back and forth, and allegations of overspending and being offered severance, Paparo finally got word that he instead will receive due process in a potential termination. Tomorrow night, the town council will hold a meeting to discuss the termination of Chief Paparo. Chief tells us what he expects to hear at tomorrow evening’s meeting, and tells how he’s been doing while facing the controversy.

Then, Giordano brings up a listener email asking for his thoughts on Kratom, a substance sold in head shops along with CBD that is facing some push back, after a business revealed plans to set up shop in Radnor near a middle school. After that, Giordano leads into a conversation centered on the Biden administration push to enable addiction by distributing drug kits featuring crack pipes.

Allen West Returns, More on Kratom and Kenney’s New COVID Rules

In today’s third hour, Col. Allen B. West returns to the Dom Giordano Program to discuss both the political climate in Texas and the situation unfolding between Russia and Ukraine. First, Giordano asks West, a Republican candidate for Texas governor, about the Democratic front-runner in the gubernatorial race, Beto O’Rourke, and the message sent by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, telling that it is ‘inevitable’ that Texas turns blue.

Then, after playing today’s Money Melody, Giordano circles back to Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney’s press conference held today, in which he told people to just ‘wear their damn mask,’ passed blame toward Florida and Texas, and alleged that his decision to counter Philadelphia restauranteur calls to open early saved lives. Finally, Dom circles back to the main topic of the previous hour, discussing the legality and safety of Kratom, after a local township opened a CBD Kratom dispensary only a block away from a middle school.
