Dr. David Damsker On Social Distancing In Schools
Dr. David Damsker, Director of the Bucks County Health Department, returns to the Dom Giordano Program to discuss the new trend by school districts to only require three feet of social distancing in schools, instead of the prior suggestion of six feet. In the spring of last year, Dr. Damsker joined the Dom Giordano Program calling for the same thing, arguing that schools could indeed safely operate with in-person schooling, even during the height of the pandemic. Damsker again explains why only three feet is necessary, noting studies that have come out since his initial suggestion. Also, Damsker explains how Bucks County schools have performed through the pandemic, with most schools reopening in September, and notes that students have been fully safe, telling that there have been no student cases in the county.
