Ambrosino explains the ‘county line,’ noting that every primary, every county has the ability to give their county column to a gubernatorial candidate, bracketing their candidates along with a state-wide candidate. After that, West discusses the infusion of identity politics in the recent election and tells how it can be detrimental to a healthy political climate.
Reason's Jesse Walker on Qanon
Jesse Walker, editor at Reason and expert on conspiracy theories, joins the Dom Giordano Program to discuss Qanon, specifically the movement’s level of popularity, and what separates the movement from conservative movements of the past. Walker lays out the core Qanon beliefs and explains how they’ve been molded, and tries to determine the person behind the name ‘Q.’ Then, Walker tells whether or not he believes the movement to be dangerous, and tells where the line should be drawn between allowing free speech and preventing violent rhetoric from the group.
