DE Rep. Jeff Spiegelman On Funky Equity Laws Tied To Marijuana Legalization

Delaware Representative Jeff Spiegelman joins the Dom Giordano Program to discuss a caveat in the legalization of marijuana in Delaware, being the social equity aspect of the legalization. Spiegelman notes that, in the new bill, provisions for equity were written that would, among other things, provide a fast track for former dealers to become legal marijuana distributors. Spiegelman continues, providing a rundown on legal marijuana in the state of Delaware, explaining that he believes the bill to be dead for the remainder of the year, but would not be surprised to see it make some movement next year.

PA Rep. Jim Gregory Continues Push For Statute of Limitations Bill

Pennsylvania State Representative Jim Gregory, serving Blair County, returns to the Dom Giordano Program to discuss his continued push for a bill close to his heart that would give adult survivors of child sexual abuse the right to sue their assailants beyond the statute of limitations. This week, in an effort to get his bill passed, Gregory aligned with Democrat Mark Rozzi and has assembled a coalition of lawmakers who will stand together to block funding from state universities such as Penn State, Pitt, Temple, and Lincoln Universities.
Gregory explains why a bill that should be unanimously passed continues to face roadblocks, and tells Giordano and listeners how he plans to get his bill enacted into law.

Kaitlin Derstine's Soudy Strong Conservatives Help Keep CRT Out Of Souderton

Kaitlin Derstine of Soudy Strong Conservatives joins the Dom Giordano Program to discuss the strength of the Souderton School Board, which has repeatedly gone against the grain in the realm of education, both remaining open largely during the pandemic and speaking out against Critical Race Theory. Derstine explains what encouraged her, as a mother, to get involved in the local community, and explains why she finds the issue of Critical Race Theory so important. Also, Derstine discusses the concept of ‘equity audits,’ which Derstine explains as CRT disguised under a different name, pushing for equitable outcomes rather than opportunity.
