Steve Keeley Uncovers Philadelphia Police Memorial Disrespect

Steve Keeley, ace reporter for Fox29, returns to the Dom Giordano Program to discuss a homeless encampment that's developed between 15th and Locust and 12th and Locust in the underground hallways for the subways. Before this topic, though, Keeley discusses something he discovered while covering this development. After walking through the encampment, Keeley went above ground and noticed that the memorial for Daniel Faulkner had been covered with a floor mat. Keeley posted an image of the instance on Twitter and it went viral, which received a response from the owner who noted it as a horrible mistake. Then, moving back to the topic of homeless encampments, Keeley explains the culmination of the encampment, as many moved from the encampment at JFK Boulevard, and provides an update explaining how the city plans to respond.

Pennsylvania State Senator Dan Laughlin joins the Dom Giordano Program to discuss why he, as a Republican, is one of the instrumental legislators working to legalize marijuana. First, Laughlin explains why marijuana hits close to home, explaining experiences with his son has led him to the belief that the safest way to handle the drug is by legalizing it. Then, Laughlin explains the situation with gun ownership and marijuana legalization, making note that federal law bans those who participate in the usage of the drug from buying a gun. After that, Laughlin discusses the differences between his bill for Pennsylvania and the one that just was passed into law in New Jersey, focusing on the ability for citizens to grow their own plants.

Then, Ciarrocchi discusses the issue of opening schools as surrounding counties prepare to open, while Chester County dragged their feet. Finally, Ciarrocchi discusses the notion of student loan forgiveness, explaining that the debt doesn't just disappear.
