Who’s At Fault for GA and PA, the Candidate or the Party?

Today, Dom led off the Dom Giordano Program by offering his analysis on the runoff election in Georgia that saw Republican Herschel Walker fall to Democrat Raphael Warnock, explaining why he believes Republicans lost the very crucial election. Dom ties this to local politics, asking if last night had echoes of the Oz/Fetterman campaign and vote, asking whether the candidate or the Party is at fault for the loss. Then, Giordano plays back reaction from the vote, telling about Stephen Colbert’s comment that ‘Senate isn’t a place where people with football brain injuries go to work,’ forgetting questions of cognition raised about both Joe Biden and John Fetterman. Also, Giordano discusses how the Republican Party needs to move forward, playing back and agreeing with a comment made by Newt Gingrich that Republicans must embrace mail-in voting rather than fight against it if they want to win in the future. Then, Dom delves into an interview provided by Republican contender to Larry Krasner, Chuck Peruto, on yesterday’s Dan Abrams show on NewsNation. In the interview, Peruto claims that there’s no way Krasner gets impeached, calling the effort political theater and unfair to Philadelphia voters, which Dom takes issue with.

Then, Dom welcomes in Matt Sharp, Senior Counsel at Alliance Defending Freedom, the law firm representing Lorie Smith, owner of 303 Creative, whose case is sifting through the United States Supreme Court. Smith wants to create websites for weddings, but because of her faith, has an objection about same-sex marriage, and would like to be able to operate without the requirement to serve same-sex individuals in light of her moral and religious objections. Matt takes us inside the Supreme Court hearing, first discussing the hypotheticals raised by Justices, then telling where he expects the case to go.

It’s That TIME Of The Year, Zelenskyy Awarded ‘Person of the Year’

In today’s second hour, Dom leads off by discussing TIME Magazine’s Person of the Year for 2022, telling that the magazine has awarded Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy the annual award. Dom reads back some commentary about Elon Musk, a contender for the spot, revealing that he’s fallen far on the ‘Richest People in the World’ list, reporting that Louis Vuitton CEO Bernard Arnault has taken the spot, which somewhat annoys the host.
Then, Dom welcomes former Republican DA candidate in Philadelphia Chuck Peruto back onto the Dom Giordano Program after he provided an interview to NewsNation’s Dan Abrams, in which he told the host that he believes Republicans have no shot in removing Larry Krasner from office after his impeachment. In the interview, Peruto makes the argument that Krasner has done nothing illegal, so for the sake of precedent, he does not believe Krasner should be impeached. Peruto explains that Philadelphians voted him in, and it’s the responsibility of Philadelphia voters, through elections, to remove Krasner. Giordano takes umbrage with this, offering to Peruto how he believes this damages the final goal of the impeachment, being heightened public safety for people living in Philadelphia.

Is There a Way To Break The Democratic Monopoly on Philadelphia?

In today’s third hour, Dom leads off the Dom Giordano Program by continuing the thread from last hour, a discussion about the Krasner impeachment, asking what Philadelphians are supposed to do if not impeachment to hold elected officials accountable. Dom brings up the standard defense, that Republicans need to wait until the next election to remove the DA, bringing to light the obvious fact of a Democratic monopoly in Philadelphia, telling how he thinks Republicans could gain some ground both in Philadelphia and in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Then, Dom tells of the ridiculous secondary market pricing on the new Philadelphia Eagles Christmas album, asking whether Jason Kelce is the most beloved athlete in the entirety of Philadelphia. Also, Dom plays out his side question, asking for great opening sequences from television shows, and plays his Money Melody for the day.
