Dom Giordano, WPHT host and former teacher, has dedicated much of his daily show toward parents who are taking it into their own hands to push back against school boards that have a negative impact on their children. This has culminated in a weekly podcast on education, Readin', Writin', and Reason, which has allowed wonderful relationships to develop between Giordano, educators, and parents throughout the country who are speaking out against overbearing school boards. This week, Dom spends the show revealing and discussing results in school board races in two crucial swing states, Virginia and Pennsylvania.
First, Clarice Schillinger returns to the show to discuss her evolution from a mother noticing questionable curriculum to running an organization competing with teachers unions, helping to fund candidates from both parties throughout the state of Pennsylvania. Schillinger operates the Back to School PA PAC, an organization dedicated to redirecting decision-making power away from unions and back to parents, and reveals how her candidates performed this week on Election Day.
Then, Ian Prior, executive director of Fight For Schools, a similar organization in Virginia, rejoins Dom Giordano to discuss the implications of the big strides made down in what became a crucial state in the recent election.
