President of the Philadelphia 76ers, Chris Heck, joined The Rich Zeoli Show with guest co-hosts Kevin O'Dowd and Anthony Mazzarelli. Heck addressed fans coming back into the stands at the Well Fargo Center.
"I think that observing the other teams and what their protocols are has been extremely helpful. Some of it may seem a little much and some of it may seem not as buttoned up. But we talk with each other on a daily basis and not just confined to basketball but we're talking to baseball, football and hockey and so forth."
Heck also spoke on creating benefits for fans that have been fully vaccinated in the stands with closer spaced seating arrangements and other possible incentives.
"It's what we're all striving, at least in our administration, to get everybody vaccinated as quickly as possible and it would be great to give people benefits to the vaccination. We're working on vaccinated sections, whether that is [reducing] the area of spacing around them or even benefits because you are vaccinated. "
Heck continued, "the real tricky part, I think, is try to go through the protocols of who actually is vaccinated and not. One group may be more trusting than another and we have to get the proper checks and sign offs of everyone from the state to the city as well as our own to make sure everyone is truly vaccinated. "
