With a constant stream of both new and re-recorded music and her Eras tour raking in money equivalent to a small nation’s GDP, singer/songwriter Taylor Swift is still undoubtedly one of the biggest stars in the country.
And with legions of “Swifties” ready to consume any and every bit of information published about her, whether it be facts, rumors, or commentary, it’s no surprise how often her name gets invoked in the media.
Heck, even the NFL has been trying to hop on the Taylor Train lately since her blossoming romance with high-profile Kansas City tight end Travis Kelce went public and she began very visibly attending Chiefs games.
Now it seems MAGA pundit Candace Owens has decided to throw some of her own commentary on the music megastar at the wall to see if it sticks in the form of clicks.
Owens called Swift “annoying and cringy” on the Friday episode of her podcast, criticizing what she called Swift’s “odd dating pattern.”
“Why hasn't any man stepped up to the plate to marry her?” she asked.
“Why didn't Joe Alwyn want to marry her after six years of dating her?”
Owens continued to offer her judgements about the singer.
"Well, maybe it's because Taylor Swift has a lot of personalities, and people think that that's cute and it's funny… but me, maybe I suffer from also being a 34-year-old adult woman. I just think it's odd. I think her behavior is really, really cringy.”
“She's just so fake, so plastic, so manufactured, very unauthentic, and that has always been my assessment about Taylor Swift,” Owens concluded.
Swift has yet to publicly comment on Owens’s comments or on whether she even knows who Owens is.
