Before a 31-year-old woman allegedly fatally shot her father, brother-in-law and brother in-law’s father in Lynn, Mass., she posted a message on Facebook.

“Several months ago, I found out that my sister has been abused by her husband for 14 years (since they first met),” said Sharifi in the Tuesday post. “He has chocked her, slapped, kicked, swore at her & the most recent a year and a half ago has punched her in her face.”

She said that she personally witnessed her brother in law, identified as 34-year-old Sanjar Halin, slap her sister.

In her Facebook post, Sharifi also claimed that her parents and her brother-in-law’s parents had known about the abuse for years. She said they were more concerned in what others would think if the couple separated and engaged in “victim blaming.”

“I’m trying to say all this as nice as I can so my post doesn’t get deleted,” Sharifi continued. “There’s no excuse for what he did. He kept doing it because no one did anything about it. How long did he think he would get away with it? They don't realize that abuse can affect someone not just physically but also mentally. No form of abuse is ok.”

Sharifi’s message alleged that her father – identified by authorities as 66-year-old Mohamad Sharifi, according to multiple reports – was also verbally and financially abusive to her mother.

“Maybe that’s why my mom did not protect her own daughter, because she’s a victim too. But that's no excuse, how can you let your own daughter get abused,” said Sharifi.

While she wrote in the post that she wanted her sister to start healing, Sharifi also ended the note with this message: “I will not deal with this nonsense.”

Friends of Sharifi confirmed to The Boston Globe Wednesday that the Facebook page belonged to Sharifi, Boston.com said.

According to NBC10, Sharifi allegedly shot her father, her brother in-law and her brother-in-law’s father, 56-year-old Abdul Halin, the same day the post appeared on Facebook. Neighbors told the outlet they heard around 30 gunshots from a house on Rockaway Street at approximately 2:45 p.m.

That home was one of three crime scenes within a mile of each other, said reports.

Later that afternoon, police found Sharifi dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound at a Stop and Shop store parking lot on Washington Street in Lynn, said prosecutors.

When Essex District Attorney Jonathan Blodgett addressed the press Wednesday, he said the incident was still under investigation, according to Boston.com.

“The DA's office did not identify a potential motive and said it would not address social media posts about the incident,” said NBC News.

According to Daily Voice Essex, Sharifi’s family has created a GoFundMe page in the wake of the incident.

“We have lost four loved ones in devastating and unforeseen circumstances,” said the page. “Time and time again, mental health is demonstrated to be such a prominent issue in society. Abuse of all types takes a significant toll on individuals affected, and leads to damage and loss in many ways.”

As of Saturday, more than $26,000 had been raised. The family said funds will go towards support of “two young children and ensure they receive adequate care to process this loss.”
