Former President Donald Trump took to Truth Social before the Super Bowl kicked off on Sunday and went after Taylor Swift.
In his post Sunday morning, Trump brought up conspiracy theories that suggested Swift and her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, would publicly endorse Joe Biden for president in 2024 at the game as part of a Democratic plan to maintain control of the White House.
The former president said he made Swift "so much money" and that it would be "disloyal" for her to endorse anyone else.
"I signed and was responsible for the Music Modernization Act for Taylor Swift and all other Musical Artists. Joe Biden didn't do anything for Taylor, and never will," he said. "There's no way she could endorse Crooked Joe Biden, the worst and most corrupt President in the History of our Country, and be disloyal to the man who made her so much money."
The Music Modernization Act updated copyright law to make statutory licensing more fair for creators and more efficient for digital music providers, according to the U.S. Copyright Office. The law changed how music licensing and royalties are paid in consideration of streaming media services, leading to more money for artists, songwriters and publishers.
Trump finished off his post with some praise for Kelce.
"Besides that, I like her boyfriend, Travis, even though he may be a Liberal, and probably can't stand me," he wrote.
While Kansas City did win the Super Bowl, neither Swift nor Kelce made any presidential endorsements.
Swift previously endorsed Biden during his 2020 campaign.
