A Duluth landlord is accused of setting his own apartment on fire while allegedly blasting the Billy Joel hit “We Didn’t Start the Fire” while firefighters arrived on the scene.
37-year old Travis Carlson has been charged with first-degree arson after investigators say that he, in fact, did start the fire. In addition, tenants report hearing breaking glass before the flames broke out.
One of them the tenants said Carlson knocked on his door to let him know that the building was ablaze.
Investigators say they found Carlson the next day with fresh burns on his arms and legs.
