Losing an hour of sleep this weekend? Krispy Kreme has a sugary consolation ready for Monday morning.
On Monday, March 9, customers can get a free Original Glazed dozen when they purchase any dozen - what the company is billing as the perfect way to power through the most sleep-deprived Monday of spring.
The deal is available only on Monday, March 9, at participating U.S. Krispy Kreme shops, subject to availability. It can be redeemed in stores or through pickup and delivery orders placed through Krispy Kreme's app or website by using the promo code SPRING at checkout. The offer is limited to one free dozen per customer.
Daylight Saving Time began Sunday, March 8, at 2 a.m., when clocks jumped forward an hour, effectively costing most Americans an hour of overnight sleep.
Krispy Kreme Chief Brand and Product Officer Alison Holder said the company wanted to help customers bounce back from the time change in a meaningful way, noting that the promotion was born from a simple idea: if you're losing an hour, you might as well gain a dozen.
Krispy Kreme isn't alone in marking the occasion with a deal. Burger King is also offering a week of breakfast freebies for Royal Perks members from March 8 to 14, unlocking a new item each day with a purchase of $3 or more.
Krispy Kreme operates in more than 40 countries through doughnut shops, retail partnerships, and a digital business. To find a location near you, visit krispykreme.com/locate/location-search.
