A horrifying video is circulating on social media of a man carrying a severed body part of someone who was killed by a train in California.

The video was recorded Friday following a deadly train collision at an Amtrak station in Wasco, about 95 miles south of Fresno, according to KGET. It appears to show a man carrying a severed lower leg and foot as he walked down a street after presumably removing the limb from the tracks.

The video shows the man inspecting the body part and at one point, he appeared to sniff or lick the limb. As he casually walked away from the scene, severed leg in hand, police swarmed the area and he was arrested.

The suspect, identified as 27-year-old Resendo Tellez, was taken into custody for multiple outstanding warrants, according to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office. Jail records show Tellez is facing multiple charges including removal of human remains from other than cemetery and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Officials are still investigating the train accident.
