Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) shared her thoughts on Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell on Wednesday night, saying in a post on social media that he was “not fit for office.”

The comments from Greene came after McConnell appeared to freeze in front of reporters, once again sparking more concerns over his health.

“Severe aging health issues and/or mental health incompetence in our nation’s leaders MUST be addressed,” Green wrote in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Greene continued, calling out other elected officials, who she says are not fit to be in the office to which they were elected.

“Biden, McConnell, Feinstein, and Fetterman are examples of people who are not fit for office and it’s time to be serious about it,” Greene said.

Democratic Sens. Dianne Feinstein (CA) and John Fetterman (PA) have both had public health-related conditions in recent months.

As for President Biden, Greene was referring to his verbal stumbles and concerns around his health impacting his work as the president.

Greene mentioned the possibility of using the 25th Amendment to remove elected officials. The 25th Amendment deals with disability and presidential succession.

“These politician’s staff and family members should be ashamed of themselves by enabling and allowing their loved ones to remain in office all to hold power. We are talking about our country’s national security and it’s all at stake! 25th amendment and other measures need to be on the table,” she wrote.

Greene and McConnell have had their back-and-forths before, with the Kentucky Republican saying she spread “loony lies and conspiracy theories” in 2021 while going as far as to say she was a “cancer” for the party and country.

McConnell, who is currently serving a term that ends in 2026, appeared to freeze on Wednesday while speaking with reporters in Covington, Kentucky, after giving a 20-minute speech.

After the incident, a spokesperson for the congressman released a statement on what happened.

“Leader McConnell felt momentarily lightheaded and paused during his press conference today,” the spokesperson said, adding that he “feels fine” and will contact a doctor as “a prudential measure.”

After McConnell’s first freeze at the end of last month, Rep. Dean Phillips (D-MN) shared a similar sentiment to Greene on X.

“For goodness sake, the family, friends, and staff of Senators Feinstein and McConnell are doing them and our country a tremendous disservice,” he wrote in a post on X. “It’s time for term limits for Congress and the Supreme Court, and some basic human decency.”
