Report: Melania Trump declines Jill Biden meeting citing Mar-a-Lago raid

Melania Trump has reportedly declined First Lady Jill Biden’s offer to meet at the White House on Tuesday, citing the Biden administration’s raid on Mar-a-Lago as the reason why.

News of Trump’s decision not to meet with Biden comes from the New York Post, which cited a source familiar with the matter.

“She ain’t going. Jill Biden’s husband authorized the FBI snooping through her underwear drawer. The Bidens are disgusting,” the source said.

“Jill Biden isn’t someone Melania needs to meet,” the source added.

President-elect Donald Trump is expected to sit with President Joe Biden in the Oval Office on Wednesday, a meeting that is traditionally held after the election.

At the same time, the first lady historically has hosted her successor for tea, though Melania Trump has reportedly decided to pass on the opportunity, the Post reported.

When President-elect Trump won the White House in 2016, Melania Trump received a tour from then-First Lady Michelle Obama.

After Trump lost his reelection bid in 2020, the president-elect continued to contest the results and never invited the Bidens to the White House before he took office. This was the first time in decades the tradition had not been carried out.

This isn’t the first time that Melania Trump has spoken out about the raid on her Florida mansion by the FBI, which was seeking classified documents in the possession of the then-former president.

During an appearance on “Fox & Friends” in September, Melania Trump said she wasn’t happy with the “invasion of privacy.”

“Yeah, it made me angry,” she said.

“I saw unpleasant stuff that nobody wants to see,” Melania continued. “And you get angry because, you know, nobody should be putting up with that kind of stuff.”

Trump’s case involving the documents was dismissed by US District Judge Aileen Cannon in July.
