Four men were found dead on Tuesday inside a home located just north of Denver in what authorities believe to be an “isolated incident.”

The Adams County Sheriff’s Office said that its deputies received a call about a gunshot victim at a home on Tuesday afternoon. When they responded, they found four men dead inside.

Deputies said that there doesn’t appear to be a threat to the public.

Sgt. Adam Sherman spoke with the Denver Post about the incident, sharing that when deputies arrived at the home, they found it locked but forced their way in and found one man dead from a gunshot wound.

While checking the rest of the home, Sherman said they found the three other men deceased.

Sherman shared that they believe three of the four men were family members. The person who called 911 was a family member of one of the victims.

The investigation into what happens remains ongoing, police shared.
