Police shared that several individuals were arrested on Saturday night at the Kentucky State Fair due to "suspicious activity," resulting in the fair having a "soft close."
On Twitter, the Kentucky State Police shared that no injuries were reported after the incident occurred. However, they did not share what the incident was.
The situation took place in front of the midway at 9:20 p.m. on Saturday night, according to a statement from the fair.
Shortly after, officers with the Kentucky State Police arrived on the scene, investigating and securing the premises while the fair closed.
But the police are keeping what happened underlock as they have denied requests for comments at this time from several news organizations.
Sherry Bray, a Kentucky State Police Information Officer, shared in a statement that "At this time, KSP can confirm there have been no reported injuries."
"However, several individuals have been arrested, with charges pending," Bray said.
The identities of those who were arrested have not been released, and the department shared that an investigation into what happened is ongoing.
