It’s Easter weekend and Passover, which means that many Americans will be celebrating with their families. However, it also means that people should prepare for their gatherings by Saturday, as many stores will be closed on Easter Sunday.
To help out those who may need to get out and do some shopping on the holiday, the Real Deal by Retail Me Not did some research and compiled a list of stores to avoid on April 9.
“We confirmed Easter hours and open/closed status directly with all the stores below,” said the report. “For stores that don’t specifically say they are open or closed on Easter on their websites, we called stores directly or emailed with their teams. In other words, we confirmed Easter hours to the best of our ability at the national level. Some franchises may differ.”
They found that these stores will likely be closed:
· ALDI
· Best Buy
· The Container Store
· Costco
· Dick’s Sporting Goods
· H-E-B Grocery
· Hobby Lobby
· HomeGoods
· The Honey Baked Ham Company
· JCPenney
· Kohl’s
· Lowe’s
· Macy’s
· Marshalls
· Michaels
· Nordstrom & Nordstrom Rack
· Office Depot
· Publix
· Sam’s Club
· Target
· T.J. Maxx
Although a considerable number of retailers will be closed on Easter, some stores will be open. According to the report, these will be the best bet for people looking to make in-person purchases this Sunday (though shoppers might want to call to confirm open hours):
