WALL TOWNSHIP, N.J. (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – Workers found skeletal remains while excavating in a New Jersey neighborhood, authorities said Wednesday.
The bones were discovered Tuesday at a property on Narrumson Road in Wall Township, according to a joint statement from police and the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.

“We can confirm that a portion of skeletal remains were located on the property while work was being conducted yesterday,” law enforcement said in their statement.
The remains must undergo further forensic analysis before additional details will be released, they said.

Workers told News 12 that two human skulls were among the remains found during an excavation at a vacant lot.
Work at the site appeared to be halted on Wednesday as the investigation continued.
While the circumstances surrounding the remains aren't yet known, authorities said there is no outstanding danger to the community.
