Tony Bruno joins the crew and jumps straight into the media fight, with The View and Sonny Hostin at the center of a dispute over attempts to tie the Cornell allegations to Trump even though the incident dates to October 2024. New York declares a measles disaster emergency, and we discuss the 108 reported cases there along with Pennsylvania’s much larger outbreak. That becomes a debate over vaccination, rural communities, Amish populations, immigration, public-health outreach and RFK Jr. We also scrutinize the outbreak timeline and argue over attempts to place responsibility on political figures who were not yet in office when the surge began.
Politics takes over as Barack Obama prepares to campaign for Abdul El-Sayed in Michigan and a Kamala Harris clip gives the crew plenty to work with. We move into Pennsylvania’s governor race, where Josh Shapiro and Stacey Garrity are set to debate. We question how many voters will actually see it, what Garrity needs to accomplish onstage and whether her military record and statewide wins give her any path against a governor who enters the race with major advantages.
Tony’s cut sheet takes a much funnier turn when we congratulate former market manager David Yagerov and build our imaginary 1210 WPHT Hall of Fame with Sid Mark, Tony Bruno, Dom Giordano and Michael Smerconish among the names. We complain about AM versus FM, watch a suspected drunken driver spin donuts around an Indiana courthouse lawn, then return to serious politics with October 7 demonstrations and Michigan focus groups. Jewish Democrats, Black Democrats and Trump voters all give us different views of El-Sayed, producing another argument over party loyalty, socialism, populism, Mike Rogers and what voters really want.
