Veterans Day Broadcast Invites Local Veterans To Share Stories

We begin the hour with our upcoming Veterans Day broadcast and invite local veterans and their families to submit stories. Then we return to the Cornell 7 case and play the recorded exchange involving Jane Doe and Matthew Ingalls. The recording presents sharply different recollections of intoxication, consent and who was present inside the fraternity house. We work through Cornell’s disciplinary action, the newly released police footage, the reopened district attorney investigation and the contradictory accounts that have accumulated around the case. The conversation turns to personal responsibility, the limits of public speculation and the difficulty of reaching a firm conclusion when nearly everyone involved was heavily intoxicated and remembers parts of the night differently. Later, we turn to the Supreme Court declining to hear the Michigan school dispute involving a political T-shirt, followed by lighter territory. Karoline Leavitt’s move to Fox sparks a debate over former White House press secretaries entering television news, objectivity and the difference between a commentator and a traditional news host.
