76ers to sign C Andre Drummond to 2-year deal

The Philadelphia 76ers are bringing back center Andre Drummond on a two-year deal worth $10-plus million, according to Shams Charania.

Drummond gets a second-year player option as a part of the deal, according to Mike A Scotto of Hoops Hype.

Drummond, 30, was a productive player for Chicago in a reserve role the past two seasons. He averaged 8.4 points and 9.0 rebounds in 17.1 minutes across 79 games, including 10 starts, this past season.

He’ll now return to a role he’s familiar with in Philadelphia, backing up star center Joel Embiid. Drummond played 49 games for the 76ers in the 2021-’22 season before being traded to the Nets.

The Sixers are the frontrunners to sign Paul George in free-agency, which began today at 6:00pm E.T.
