DeVonta Smith’s third catch of Saturday night’s game against Dallas went for just four yards, but it was much bigger: it gave Smith 916 receiving yards on the year, surpassing DeSean Jackson’s 912 in 2008 for most receiving yards by a rookie in Eagles franchise history.

Smith made a great 25-yard grab on a tipped ball on a third-and-9 play on Philly’s opening drive:

He then opened the third drive with a 12-yard grab, which gave him 37 yards on the night and tied Jackson's record:

And then, finally, one play later, the record breaker:

The kicker of it all? Minshew wears No. 10…the number Jackson wore during his time in Philly.

The record may be slightly asterisked to some, as Smith was playing in his 17th game of the year, a luxury Jackson never had. However, it does come four years to the day Smith made one of his other career highlight grabs: a 41-yard TD catch on overtime to give Alabama the victory over Georgia in the 2018 CFP National Championship Game.
