Howie Roseman is proud of the Eagles' mix of veteran accomplished players and young, ascending talent entering the 2023 season.
"Well, I never feel too good. I don't know that's in my DNA, always trying to get us better," Roseman said when asked about the 2023 Eagles' roster on Wednesday's 94WIP Afternoon Show with Jon Marks and Ike Reese.
"Just having that mix of Eagles Hall Of Famers—some of those guys I think are first ballot NFL Hall Of Famers—having those guys mix in with a lot of young players on this team. A lot of young players that have proven success in the NFL and that should be around this team and this league for a long time. I think that's something that not only I, but our fans are going to be proud of. That we got a bunch of those guys who should be here for a long time and not that they don't have the DNA themselves, but they're learning the right way to do it, by not only the coaching staff who has done a phenomenal job, but by those veteran leaders that we have on this team."
Of course, some of the future Eagles' Hall Of Famers Roseman is talking about include the core four in Jason Kelce, Lane Johnson, Brandon Graham and Fletcher Cox. Roseman has paired them with guys like A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, and Jalen Hurts and then even younger players with upside like Nolan Smith, Nakobe Dean, Jalen Carter, and Jordan Davis.
As part of the Eagles Radiothon, you can bid on lunch with Howie Roseman here. Bidding ends at 5:00pm on Wednesday, September 6th.
