Longtime Villanova basketball coach and Philadelphia legend Jay Wright joined Glen Macnow (filling in for Angelo) on Tuesday's 94WIP Morning Show to discuss being inducted into the 2021 Basketball Hall Of Fame.

"You want everybody that was a part of your career as a player, as a coach, you want them to feel a part of it because they all are," Wright said. "From players at University of Rochester...to players at UNLV, to Hofstra, to players at Villanova. You want everybody to know that you're a part of this. I hope you feel like you are partly inducted too. So when you get the text from them and the calls from them, immediately, you know they feel a part of it, that makes you feel great. That really makes me feel good. I try to let each one of them know, you're a part of this journey. God put you into our lives and we're really lucky we had you in our lives, so that's what did it.

"It's a real sentimental time. It's going to be great to do it, but it's kind of going to be great to get over with so you can get onto business. Because it does, it just constantly brings up great memories and connections to all of the people in your basketball life, and in your life, every time someone mentions it to you."

Wright, 59, grew up in the area, graduating High School from Council Rock North High School in Newtown, PA. Wright has been the head coach at Villanova since 2001, winning the NCAA Championship twice (2016, 2018).

"I love being a part of Philadelphia basketball, I really do," Wright said. "It's a great tradition across this country. There's no city that's got the pride and the tradition in college basketball that Philadelphia has. It's really cool to be a part of it and I appreciate it."
