Herbig, 23, was an undrafted free agent signed by the Birds out of Stanford in 2019, just months before then-Eagles vice president of player personnel Douglas became Jets GM. The Hawaiian played in 33 games for Philly, starting 17, while playing both guard spots and some snaps at center.

Per Pro Football Focus, Herbig played 481 snaps last year and earned an overall grade of 68.1, allowing just one sack and taking only three penalties.

Herbig signed a $2.4 million restricted free agent tender with Philadelphia just last week, but the Eagles were rumored to be shopping him, and chose to waive him after adding to their interior line depth by drafting Nebraska center Cam Jurgens in the second round.
