The Jets were the other serious contender to acquire Hill, but ultimately the Dolphins get one of the NFL's most dynamic playmakers.

The Chiefs reportedly wanted at least a first and second round pick for Hill.

The Eagles had the draft capital, but was that a price they should have considered for a wide receiver? 94WIP hosts chimed in before the news broke that Hill was traded to the Dolphins.

The Eagles, of course, need to bolster their wide receiver corps, which is bleak other than second-year wideout DeVonta Smith. Philadelphia, who was reportedly close to acquiring Calvin Ridley before his one-year suspension, signed the productive, but unexciting, former Colts WR Zach Pascal to a one-year deal this week.

Hill, who just turned 28, logged 1,239 receiving yards last season and caught nine touchdown passes. It was the fourth time in the last five years that he eclipsed 1,000 receiving yards, and he has yet to play an NFL season in which he doesn’t earn Pro Bowl honors.

Hill is one of the best in the league, but doesn’t come without controversy, as he was arrested on domestic violence charges in college and then was under investigation in 2019 for child abuse after his three-year-old son suffered a broken arm. It was later announced that Hill would not be charged.
