Former Philadelphia Eagles president Joe Banner does not believe Howie Roseman and company are out on trying to acquire Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson.

"As it stands right now, there are five realistic destinations for Watson: Carolina, New Orleans, Philadelphia, Cleveland, and Seattle," Banner wrote in a blog post on Tuesday.

While the aforementioned teams have been circulating as possibilities for Watson in reports, the Eagles have not been mentioned as much by the top NFL reporters like Adam Schefter and Ian Rapoport. Further complicating the issue is Watson, who has a no trade clause, reportedly does not want to come to Philadelphia.

The Eagles are the only NFL team with three first-round picks in 2022 and Roseman is always willing to make an aggressive move, especially at the quarterback position. Combine that with current Philadelphia starting QB Jalen Hurts, who has had an up and down start to his career, and the Watson-Eagles rumors have maintained pace for months.

Last Friday, a grand jury in Harris County, Texas decided that Watson would not face any criminal charges in response to sexual abuse allegations that have been made against him. Still looming over Watson, though, are 22 civil lawsuits from women who say that Watson engaged in sexual misconduct during massage therapy sessions.
