Joel Embiid and the 76ers took a commanding 3-0 series lead over the Nets on Thursday night, and Philly’s superstar let the Barclays Center crowd know about it afterward.
Shortly after the final horn sounded, Embiid was seen gesturing “3-0” to the Brooklyn fans, holding up three fingers before making a zero with his hand as he wandered around the floor, looking towards the seats. It was another troll job by one of the tolling masters of the NBA.
Of course, Embiid let his game talk on the court as well, coming up with a huge block in the closing seconds of the fourth quarter, with the Nets looking for the game-tying bucket. Instead, Embiid’s block led to an inbounds play for the Nets, where a miscommunication resulted in an errant pass that wound up right in the lap of De’Anthony Melton, who walked in and slammed home the exclamation point.
Then, Embiid let the fans know where the series stood.
