The fans in Philadelphia made sure they brought the noise for the first playoff games in the City of Brotherly Love in over a decade.

A raucous environment for games three and four of the NLDS on Friday and Saturday led to two straight wins for the Phillies, finishing off the defending champion Braves in four games for an improbable trip to the NLCS. The hostile environment may have played a part in rattling a suddenly ineffective Atlanta starting rotation.

Ken Rosenthal, reporting on the field for FOX Sports throughout the series, reported late in game four that his phone started sending him noise notifications that sound levels near his phone were reaching 90 decibels, cautioning that being in such a loud environment for an extended period of time, as in roughly 30 minutes, can cause temporary hearing loss.

Per screenshots of Rosenthal’s phone notifications, noise levels reached as high as 101 decibels during the series, the equivalent of standing inside a nighclub with blaring music. Rosenthal said he had never received such notifications on his phone before, even at concerts.
