Philadelphia, Temple, and basketball legend John Chaney has passed away, reports Mike Jensen of the Philly Inquirer.
Chaney was 89 years old.
Chaney was the head basketball coach at Temple University from 1982 to 2006, compiling a record of 516-253 with eight A-10 regular season titles and six A-10 tournament championships.
Chaney was inducted into the Basketball Hall Of Fame in 2001 and the College Basketball Hall Of Fame in 2006.
