PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — World Wrestling Entertainment stoked anticipation for Philadelphia wrestling fans Saturday night by revealing the logo for 2024's WrestleMania XL, to be held at Lincoln Financial Field.

The unveiling happened at the company's "Extreme Rules" event at the Wells Fargo Center. WWE Hall of Famer Jerry "The King" Lawler, joined by Philadelphia Eagles cheerleaders and Sixers mascot Franklin, rang the Sixers bell to show off the design.

The logo sees the WrestleMania name modeled after the Eagles logo, in familiar green, in front of the Liberty Bell. The South Philly fans responded with a big Eagles chant.

That wasn't the only Philly moment on the show. Flyers mascot Gritty also made an appearance, and got into a backstage scuffle with bad guy Mike "The Miz" Mizanin.

WrestleMania XL comes to the Linc on April 6 and 7, 2024. It will be the first WrestleMania event in Philly since 1999's WrestleMania XV, at the then-First Union Center.
