As expected, Mike Moustakas opted out of his mutual option with the Brewers on Nov. 1. The All-Star third baseman becomes a free agent, leaving the Brewers with two -- Moustakas and catcher Yasmani Grandal -- 2019 All-Stars on the market.

Moustakas posted an .845 OPS in 2019 with 35 home runs and 87 RBI -- both second on the team. In 197 games for the Crew in 2018 and 2019, Moustakas hit 43 home runs with 120 RBI. The 31-year-old was a crucial cog of the Brewers 2018 and 2019 postseason teams. His walk-off single in Game 1 of the 2018 NLDS sparked a sweep of the Rockies -- one of three postseason RBI and eight hits as a Brewer.

The team also announced, Friday, that two other members of the 2019 Crew will hit free agency.

Roster moves. No surprise that Yasmani Grandal and Mike Moustakas will test the open market. https://t.co/QdIBtLaQpI

Spangenberg signed as a free agent in January 2019 and was called up from Triple-A San Antonio on Aug. 24. Austin signed a minor-league deal with the team on Aug. 16 and was promoted to the Majors on Sept. 1 amid roster expansion.
