Ben Affleck and Matt Damon have been business partners and best buds for years. One thing they’ll never be again is roommates.

Affleck appeared on James Corden’s “The Late Late Show” to discuss him and Damon’s latest collaboration “Air,” he told the host a bit about how him and brother Casey shared an apartment with Damon years ago in Los Angeles.

“Matt’s a beautiful guy. I love him. He’s my best friend. He’s been great to me my whole life. He’s a brilliant guy,” Affleck said. “I would not suggest living with him.”

Affleck said him and his brother couldn’t take Damon’s messiness anymore and went on a cleaning strike to see if he’d get Damon to start cleaning up after himself.

“We’re just going to wait and see how long he will go before he actually gets up and goes, ‘God, I’m covered in garbage!’”

The Affleck brothers made it “two weeks without touching the apartment” before they had to give in.

"Came home one day, me and [Casey]. Matt's there in his shorts and his T-shirt playing the '92 Sega hockey game in the middle of what was the living room, just surrounded by concentric circles of garbage," Ben Affleck explained. "Pizza boxes. I look down at this sushi thing that was a week and a half old, and there's maggots."

“And we were like, ‘We submit. We submit. You are too good. We cannot beat you,’” he said. “He was just like, ‘Hey what’s going on fellas?’ [We said,] ‘That’s a rat on you!;”

“Air” is currently in theaters.
