It's all about getting a parent's blessing.
While Steve Harvey has made it known that he’s all good with heartthrob actor Michael B. Jordan and his daughter Lori dating, his feelings get a little more complicated when the topic of marriage is brought up.

In a new interview, the gregarious “Family Feud” host struggled for words when posed with the possibility of Jordan asking for Lori’s hand in marriage.
"Man, this is a hard one,” Harvey admitted while playing "Sip or Spill" on “Today with Hoda and Jenna.” “I’ve given away two daughters. I’ve got four. That’s a really hard one."
After hesistating further, he added: "I would have to say so far, yeah, yeah. No, no, no, man.” Harvey then took a big sip of his drink.
Cracking a laugh, the 65-year-old admitted it's a tough one to answer. "I’m struggling with that one," he told Hoda and Jenna. "You all have got some good questions."
During an appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" earlier in the year, Harvey was totally accepting of the young couple's dating situation, if not for their habit of posting sultry shots of themselves in varying embraces. One of which DeGeneres put up on her big screen.
After Harvey made a scrunched face and the audience nervously laughed, the funnyman claimed, "I've never seen that picture before. I'm very uncomfortable with that picture, right now. Not really feeling that picture."
Jordan, 35, and Lori, 25, celebrated their year anniversary last November, and have enjoyed two Christmas get-togethers with the Harvey family. So Harvey has had a while to get used to the frequent PDA pix online.
The “Judge Steve Harvey” host though has definitely made his verdict on Jordan himself, as he told Entertainment Tonight last September.
“He is genuinely who he looks like he is," said Harvey. "And he's, I mean, like, it threw me off at first, because he was so kind. You know, I figure, 'OK, this is the game right?' But it wasn't. This dude was sincere, and he's proven to be a really, really good, good guy. I’m pulling for him, you know, for them."
