(610 Sports) – Death, taxes, and Jerick McKinnon catching touchdown passes. These are, seemingly, the only sure things we can count on in life – at least that's things have been over the last six weeks.
With a two-yard touchdown reception against the Raiders in Week 18, McKinnon has now recorded his ninth receiving touchdown of the season. He now has a touchdown catch in six consecutive games, the second-longest streak in franchise history behind Chiefs' teammate, TE Travis Kelce.
It was just one week ago that McKinnon made NFL history, by becoming the first running back in the Super Bowl era to record a touchdown reception in five-straight games. McKinnon's streak now stands at six-straight, with a first-quarter score against the Raiders.
In addition to his NFL record, McKinnon also extended a Chiefs' franchise TD receptions record by a running back, with his ninth of the season. His nine receiving touchdowns are two more than any Chiefs running back has recorded in a single season in franchise history.
