Rob Riggle is no stranger to the Kansas City sports scene. Riggle, who's in town for the 13th annual Big Slick event, has been a mainstay in celebrity softball tournaments and has repped Kansas City at dozens of major sporting events over the years. While speaking to 610's Fescoe In The Morning on Thursday, Riggle revealed that he has somewhat of a newly-designed swing, all thanks to Patrick Mahomes.
"I dedicated this whole last year basically to working on my softball cut," Riggle said. "Really getting the cut right. They say you have to hit the ball on the descending with an ascending blow. You can't cut straight across like a baseball. So I really have been putting in the hours on this launch angle thing. So I expect -- I don't know, I'll get up 3-4 times -- 3 or 4 dingers. I don't know, I could be wrong. I could strike out ... That little ascending, descending thing? That came from Patrick Mahomes. And he hit some dingers the last time we did this thing live. He hit a couple dingers. So I'm going to take him at his word. I'm going to follow his lead and see if I can make contact."
