Rob Refsnyder had an afternoon to forget Monday in Baltimore, crashing face-first into the center-field wall in fruitless pursuit of a Ryan Mountcastle home run. It’s doubtful the journeyman (the Twins are his seventh team in the past five seasons) outfielder would have made the catch, though Refsnyder could have saved himself from going viral by simply looking where he was going. Ever heard of the warning track, pal? That’s what it’s for.

Refsnyder, a former fifth-round draft pick who began his MLB career with the Yankees in 2015, miraculously escaped without injury, only hurting his pride on the play. The 30-year-old will patrol center field again Tuesday night, and when he does, he’ll be greeted by this reminder, courtesy of the Camden Yards grounds crew.

The slumping Orioles can’t buy a win right now (Monday’s 10-inning heartbreaker extended their losing streak to 14), but their troll game remains strong as ever. Monday’s gaffe likely won’t be remembered as the finest moment of Refsnyder’s big-league career, though remarkably, it’s not even the most embarrassing blooper MLB has produced this week.
