(670 The Score) The Bears could be down two key starters on defense against the Steelers on Monday night.

Bears star pass rusher Khalil Mack (foot) and safety Eddie Jackson (hamstring) were each sidelined from practice again Friday and are trending toward missing the game Monday. The Bears will issue their final injury report Saturday, which could offer more clarity on their respective statuses.

Mack missed Chicago's loss to San Francisco last Sunday, just the third game in his eight-year NFL career that he has been sidelined for. He has six sacks in seven games this season. The Bears didn't place Mack on injured reserve last week, a move that coach Matt Nagy indicated was in consideration.

Jackson suffered a hamstring injury on the second play from scrimmage last Sunday. DeAndre Houston-Carson would likely start in his place if Jackson misses the game Monday.

In other injury reports news, receiver Darnell Mooney (groin) was listed as a limited participant in practice, as has been the case for much of the season. Running back Damien Williams (knee), linebacker Alec Ogletree (ankle), quarterback Nick Foles (personal) and tight end J.P. Holtz (concussion) didn't practice.

Kickoff between the Bears (3-5) and Steelers (4-3) comes Monday at 7:15 p.m. CT from Heinz Field in Pittsburgh.
