(670 The Score) Nine former Bears players have been nominated for the Pro Football Hall of Fame class of 2023.

Receiver/returner Devin Hester, linebacker Lance Briggs, center Olin Kreutz, cornerback Charles Tillman, guard Ruben Brown, receiver Muhsin Muhammad, defensive end Jared Allen, defensive lineman Clyde Simmons and quarterback Dave Krieg have been included among 129 modern era nominees for the class of 2023.

Of that group, Hester and Allen were among the 15 finalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame class of 2022. Hester didn't earn Hall of Fame honors on his first time on the ballot, but he believes he'll be elected in the class of 2023.

The list of nominees will be reduced to 25 semifinalists in November. The Hall of Fame class of 2023 will be revealed at the Super Bowl in February.
