LAKE FOREST, Ill. (670 The Score) -- Having joined the Packers as an undrafted free agent in May 2016, offensive lineman Lucas Patrick played the Bears 11 times and lost just once.

Patrick is now on the other side of the NFL's oldest rivalry after signing with the Bears on a two-year deal this week. He hopes to enjoy more success in the matchup, this time from Chicago's side.

"I've been on the winning side, and I'm going to stay on the winning side," Patrick said Friday as he was introduced at Halas Hall. "We're going to start winning these games. I firmly believe to win a Bears-Packers game, you've got to win it up front. You go to be physical, you've got to be tough and that's what we're going to do here.

"I feel like whoever wins those games takes the North. Like (general manager Ryan Poles) said, that's the goal here. Take the North, get to the playoffs, get a shot at the Lombardi."

Patrick received a congratulatory phone call from Packers star quarterback Aaron Rodgers after agreeing to his deal with the Bears on Tuesday night, he said.

Patrick signed with the Packers after a tryout during their 2016 minicamp. He spent that season on the team's practice squad before earning a place on the active roster the next year. Patrick has played in 73 games in his NFL career and started 34, including 28 the last two seasons.

Patrick anticipates playing center for the Bears, though he takes pride in his versatility to play guard as well.
