(670 The Score) Former Bears defensive coordinator Sean Desai has landed in Seattle.
Desai will be named the Seahawks' new associated head coach - defense, NFL Media reported on Friday. The 38-year-old Desai spent last season as the Bears' defensive coordinator.
Desai was hired by former Bears coach Marc Trestman in 2013, serving in various roles on Chicago's defensive staff. He was promoted to defensive coordinator last season after the retirement of Chuck Pagano from that position.
Under the watch of Desai, the Bears ranked sixth in opponents' yardage, this despite a rash of injuries on defense. Desai was also considered for the Vikings' and Giants' defensive coordinator positions.
The Bears hired Matt Eberflus as their new head coach and he appointed Alan Williams as his defensive coordinator.
