The MLB lockout saw another discouraging development on Wednesday night, when the league announced the cancellation of the second week of the regular season -- an additional 93 games -- through April 14.
The news came after days of intensifying negotiations over a new collective bargaining agreement, and a little over a week after the league announced the season's first week would be scrapped owing to the impasse.
The disappointing news was predictably met with anger and despondence on social media.
