If you believe in jinxes, then Charles Barkley is your scapegoat for the Atlanta Braves’ Game 3 loss on Tuesday.

As TNT was gearing up its Inside the NBA pregame show for the season-opening broadcast in LA outside the Staples Center, host Ernie. Johnson gave an update on the NLCS, letting the audience, and a curious Barkley, know that the Braves were up 4-2 in the fourth inning.

This was enough for Barkley to proclaim not just victory — but a sweep.

“Oh, yes! Sweep! The Braves are going to sweep the Dodgers!” he shouted.

Of course, there was plenty of baseball left to be played and the Dodgers rallied for four runs in the eighth inning — sparked by Cody Bellinger’s game-tying three-run blast and capped with Mookie Betts’ RBI single — to give the Dodgers a 6-5 victory and narrow the series to 2-1.

Barkley wasn’t the only one who thought the game was over.

TBS showed fans at Dodger Stadium leaving the ballpark in the seventh inning, before the late-inning dramatics.

Later in the night, TBS baseball analysts Jimmy Rollins and Curtis Granderson stopped by the set to tease Barkley about the sweep prediction.
